  1st Place - Joan Dyer

Aguapods

This wall hanging was deisgned to utilize a small piece of hand-woven fabric given me by Dee Jones, weaver extraordinaire. I think it has an undersea flavor to it. Hence the name "Aquapods". The pearls were painted with Setacolor and sewn in.

  2nd Place - Ann Sanderson

Fish #3

Fly fishing is new to me so I'm doing a series fo art quilts with a fish theme.

Posies Around the Square

This was a "take-along" quilt: Everywhere that Donna went, the quilt was sure to go! It measures 24" x 28" and is a REAL quilt. Donna used civil war replica fabrics. The inner section of the garland is rouched blossom. The flowers are embroidered. The quilt is hand appliqued and hand quilted.

Shelby & Trevor

This was created during a class on the internet at Quilting University with Marilyn Belford. The portrait is a blending of two photographs of my granddaughter and her new puppy.

Jubilation

This quilt was designed during a class with Nancy Crow, which emphasized that anything can be pieced. Piecing these shapes was indeed a challenge. It is composed of my hand-dyed fabrics.
