Amazingly, Joan Dyer provided the most quilted article of any past featured quilter of the Pine Tree Quilt Guild. Joan's work filled
TWELVE display boards. Joan documents each quilt that she makes and her journal identifies 263 quilted items. On a minutes notice Joan can provide accurate information on every item she has ever made. As she explained,
"My first instructor told me to take a photograph of my project and to give that photograph a number. Then I was to create an inventory listing beginning with that first project."
Joan used those wise words to her advantage as her inventory journal identifes each created item, its date, and all of the places where the item has been shown, including each items awards. She also has an inventory of her personal library books, too!
Joan's creations have a unique quality that screams out, "
I AM A JOAN DYER CREATION" with the same breath taking thunder as a VanGogh or a Monet. Innovative Art is the classification of Joan's work and her work is truely both innovative and a work of art.
