Our guild sure does wonderful things in the community!!
"Some members of the Education Outreach committee, under the direction of Robin Mello, go into classrooms to help teachers with quilt related projects. They went into the 1st grade classroom of teacher Sabrina Godfrey, helped the kids draw their self portraits on fabric (backed with freezer paper for stability). The 8.5" blocks were then sewed into a quilt (by me). The quilt will be auctioned off at a school event on April 30th to raise money for the school (Union Hill School)

" We also go to adult groups such as nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and each year go to Humbug
Days at Malakoff (in costume) to demonstrate hand quilting."
