Our family is like a patchwork quilt,
With kindness gently sewn.
Each piece is an original,
With beauty all its own.
With threads of warmth and happiness,
It's lightly stitched together,
To last in love throughout the years,
Our family is forever.
Over the years some of our "quilting family" passed away. Our "In Loving Memory" webpage began in 2006 after the passing of Mrs. Jeanne Gill and Mrs. Luise Cummins.
As you fondly recall the names of other members please send them directly to
and they will include that person on the page's listing. They would like to have the members name, birth date, and the date of death. They will also accept photographs, obituary text, and personal comments.

Charter Member PTQG Death: July 1997
A Charter Member of the PTQG, Flo was a true "quilted at heart". Her skills and interest was passed down to her through generations of family quilters. Through the classes offered by the guild she strived to improve her skills and produced many, many quilts! As one of the foundation members of the guild Flo served on the board as Historian and as Block-of -the- Month Co-Chair. She served on a variety of committees, supported activities and attended events. Flo loved the annual Quilt Show and served as Quilt Show Chairman in 1991. A familiar face at the Quilt Shows from set-up to take down she was always there. She checked props in and out, worked in the kitchen and the country store and at selling tickets at the door and raffle tickets, just to name some of the extent of her involment in the guild. Flo truly loved quilting and being a member of the"Pine Tree Quilt Guild"! She looked forward to each meeting and event with eagerness an anticipatation. As an outstanding member she made the effort to give back to the guild as much as she received from it.
Because of failing health, Flo moved to Denver in 1996 to live with her son and two granddaughters. She past away July1997 of heart failure. Flo was a sister to guild member Betty Maddox
